No need to go through heavy books, a card is a parenting exercise!
💜 Positive Parenting is a parenting method based on the Adlerian philosophy of eliminating all punishments and rewards, and emphasizing the use of "encouragement" in raising children. Over the past forty years, Positive Parenting has become the dominant parenting style in the United States. In order to encourage parents to put the essence of parenting into practice, the authors have produced a set of 53 Parent-Child Interaction Tool Cards. Each tool in the cards meets the five characteristics of Positive Parenting and can improve negative behaviors, which helps to develop children's character and life skills.

"Positive Parenting Parent-Child Interaction Toolkit" User Guide
Positive Parenting Instructor Edith Yao suggests four fun ways you can use the Parent-Child Interaction Tool Cards:
🔸Regular Practice
Start now, pick a card from the list and keep practicing the tools in the card for at least a week.
Facing Conflict
When faced with a parenting challenge, you can either close your eyes and choose intuitively, or you can choose a card with a title or design that appeals to you. There's usually a good chance that the positive parenting tools on the card are the best things you can use to teach your child self-discipline and responsibility while solving parenting problems. If you don't think the card you've picked out is appropriate, put it down and pick it out again until you find a tool that solves the problem.
🔸 Resolving Conflict with Children
When you are faced with a parent-child challenge, invite your child to choose a card from the list, referencing the previous point. Ask your child to tell you if the tool written on the card can solve the problem, and if not, put it down and pick another one until you choose the one that does.
Parent-Child Activities
You and your child take turns drawing cards. Read the cards out loud when they are drawn and act out the suggestions for parent-child interaction on the card. For example, the person who drew "do a chore" does a chore, the person who drew "hug" asks for a hug, and so on. You may be surprised to find that your child enjoys this activity!
